Our team explores applications in tissue engineering and molecular biology to enhance the process of replacing, engineering or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function. As many patients with wounds have both damaged tissue and compromised healing mechanisms, Regenerative Medicine may provide curative restoration by stimulating the body’s own repair mechanisms to functionally heal previously irreparable tissues or organs. The TCV Team utilizes a variety of advanced regenerative techniques including injection of stem cells or progenitor cells, induction of regeneration by biologically active molecules and tissue grafting and engineering. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been demonstrated to enhance the mobilization of stem cells and thus is often utilized with tissue regenerative protocols.
